What is Tongless?
On Tongless.com we want to create a place where you can download the most essential 'essential mixes', but with all the talk of Pete Tong removed. For the people in the dark: The essential mix is a weekly radio show on BBC 1 with top DJ's playing a mix. Great concept, except for the host of the program (Pete Tong) his excessive need to keep on blabbering right through it.
Why Tongless?
An analogy: Just imagine you are walking through the Louvre and you want to watch the countless artworks which grace the walls. And then imagine that the museum director has put some his little signs with text about the painting (and some text which is completely off-topic) on top of it, covering part of the precious paintings. This is exactly what Pete Tong has been doing for so long with his Essential Mix! Luckily for us, every essential mix comes with a published tracklisting. So it's not so hard to filter out all the annoying bits. And that is exactly what this site is about. The essential mix... Tongless.
